Opie is a senior cat. If he could speak he would have many stories to tell. In none of these you would hear him telling how he used to lay on cosy pillows, how he used to eat delicious food or how he used to hang around with his family. You would also not hear him telling that he was rolling on the grass with the sun bathing his fur or hunting butterflies in plains and meadows …. not even that he used to run on a street trying to avoid cars. Opie is one of those cases that you would say it would have been better if he had lived as a stray. It may have been better even if he had passed in the early years of his life. His stories would be similar to those you get to hear from war veterans. Similar to these stories you just want to close your ears and instinctively your eyes, to not see images from what he saw. And unfortunately that kept for the longest part of his life. We do not know if the rest part is enough to make these images go away. We do not know how much love it would take to make him forget. We just hope he has the opportunity for this to happen. We cannot tell an accurate age, but Opie is at least 10 years old. He will be given with an adoption contract, vaccinated and neutered, in the area of Attica and for living indoors only and the cost of his microchip will be covered by her new guardian
