I live in darkness. I don’t know how it is to wake up from the morning sun. I don’t know how sunset looks like. I don’t know how the starry sky looks like. I don’t know how a prairie looks like. I can’t tell the difference between red and green so I can cross the roads. I don’t know what cars are, just that they scared me a lot when I was in the streets. I don’t know why I was kicked, I didn’t understand what I did wrong. I didn’t know what home is. I didn’t know what it means to be loved. I didn’t know what it means to sleep in a warm place without being sopping wet from rain. But I know what gratitude means. But I know what love means. But I know how to move inside my space and know where every object is. I can tell when someone enters the room immediately. I know that not everyone is nice to strays. I know that I may not have seen the sunset but I have a lot of love to give to the one who will open his heart for me. Milly has lost her sight but she hasn’t lost the warmth of her heart.
